I am not aware of karadi sadhana. Karadi in one of the Indian languages means bear : )
I have not read Yoga Makaranda, I have read just the first few pages of the book in Kannada.

Great video
Been reading Krishanamacharia's Yoga Makaranda with Ramaswami this week. He translates karandi Sadhana as wrestling (half way through 2.4 where he's talking about Yogabhyasa, archery and Karadi sadhana as the only three forms of exercise that give equal strength to the joints and blood vessels). However the english translater and Google translate it as stick fighting, wondered if you've come across wrestling referred to in this way.
Interesting too a page further on where he talks about foreigners stealing skills and knowledge and then reintroducing them as if they were their own. In light of the Singleton book it seems to suggest that K. perhaps saw the international physical culture movement as reflecting exercise traditions that had existed in india for centuries.
